I have a Monitronics security system and would like to add more motion sensors, How do I do this?
how do I calibrate them with the present one?
You will need to contact your local Monitronics dealer to schedule a technician to come out and install the sensors. HOWEVER, I recommend that you drop your Monitronics system and contact a different company (like Protection One, Brinks/Broadview or ADT). Monitronics systems have a lock-out feature in the alarm system (in the main motherboard) and if an outside company tries to access it, the system will lock-up and you cannot use your system unless it gets replaced. Most other alarm dealers like the ones listed above do not use a lock-out feature thus allowing a customer more freedom with their system (like adding devices). I used to work for a company that decided to install Monitronics and had nothing but problems with their tech support. I left that company after 2 months of nothing but problems from their systems. I strongly recommend that you contact a different alarm company and have them replace the main alarm system and keypad. Depending on what kind of sensors you have already, they might be able to re-use them on the new system.
