R/C truck – CEN ME16. How long does it take to charge battery pack (1800 mah Nicad) with wall charger? ?
Newbie here – I think I have transmitter set up, but since ESC would not light up to set it, I have to assume battery pack is not pre-charged. So, I plugged in the wall charger supplied and I’m wondering how long to leave it – looks like CEN would include fundamental info.
Generally a trickle charger will charge the battery overnight. A quick charger is considered 4 hours but will wear your battery down quicker.
Always let your battery cool before using. All batteries need to be charged when you first purchase them. Also some batteries need to be discharged to be able to fully accept a new charge, if not the duration the battery can hold a full charge decreases considerably.
